Palash Raut holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from New York University, with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Honors in Robotics & Automation) from Pune University. He specializes in Lean Manufacturing, Process Optimization, and Supply Chain Design, with experience in both the U.S. and India.
At Prose Hair in New York, Palash led a Lean Manufacturing project that boosted line balance, reduced cycle times, and cut WIP inventory. Using VSM, Gemba Walks, and Root Cause Analysis, he identified bottlenecks and implemented FIFO, one-piece flow, ergonomic redesign, and 5S visual management—delivering major gains in throughput, cost savings, and OEE.
At ALF Engineering in India, he maintained robotic welding systems, designed a custom SolidWorks fixture to cut setup time, and improved quality processes through GD&T, SPC, ISO 9001, Kaizen, and 5S.
His project portfolio includes optimizing Bristol Myers Squibb’s CAR-T operations, designing a global supply chain network for Dollar Tree and creating a sustainable facility layout for a detergent plant. Each effort focused on efficiency, scalability, and compliance.
Palash holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and is skilled in SolidWorks, Siemens NX, AutoCAD, SAP ERP, Python, R, and Tableau. His career goal is to advance operational excellence and sustainable manufacturing through continuous improvement and innovative engineering solutions.
